OROVILLE, Calif. – The Shasta College women's soccer team lost a 2-0 road match against Butte College on Friday.

The Knights surrendered a goal in each half, the first coming in the 3rd minute by Sadie Weber while Kyler Garner scored on a penalty kick in the 87th minute for insurance.

Butte outshot Shasta 43-10 in the match and goalkeeper Natalie Stockham had 15 saves on 17 attempts. Berenice Lira, Sophia Triantafyllou and Serena Elwood each had a shot on goal.

Shasta (0-2-2 Golden Valley Conference, 0-2-2) plays at Lake Tahoe on Tuesday for its only game this week.
