REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's soccer team continues to pepper its opponents with shots and received a balanced scoring effort in two victories last week.

A total of seven players scored the eight goals for the Knights as Shasta College beat Mendocino 4-1 on the road and returned home Friday to beat Napa Valley 4-2.

Rylie Pinnell's unassisted goal in the 44th minute gave the Knights a 1-0 lead in the first game. Alexis Arnold scored on an assist from Emily Brooks five minutes into the second half. After Mendocino cut the lead to one goal in the 85th minute, Shasta closed the door on the match with two goals in the next three minutes as Haley Moebes and Pinnell each scored an unassisted goal for the 4-1 victory.

Goalkeepers Alexandra Erickson (two saves) and Paige Reed (one save) each played 45 minutes in the win.

Shasta trailed 1-0 against Napa Valley before Maite Silva-Bradley tied it up in the 30th minute on an unassisted goal. Goals from Pinnell and Taylor Pinnell gave the Knights a 3-1 advantage and Sierra Brenner added an insurance goal late in the match.

Reed and Silva-Bradley each played 45 minutes in goal, earning two saves and allowing a goal apiece.
