WALLACE, COLLINS NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's Jenna Wallace and Megan Collins were both named to the all-Golden Valley Conference team.

Wallace, a freshman from Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, led the Knights in scoring with 19.6 points per game, which ranked 11th in the state. She led the team in rebounds as well with a per game average of 9.6 and totaled 16 double-doubles on the year. She scored a season-high 32 points in a 91-71 loss to Redwoods and grabbed a season-best 19 rebounds in a 69-50 win over Cabrillo.

Collins, a freshman out of Biggs High School, averaged 13.6 points, 5.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. She had 142 assists on the season, which ranked 11th in the state, and had a triple-double in an 81-75 loss to Feather River with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.

Wallace was also named to the all-GVC freshman team while Collins, Riley Wallen and Kali Cummings were honorable mention selections on the all-freshman team.

Wallen, a freshman from Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, averaged 13 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. She scored a season-high 28 points in a win at Marin College and had nine double-doubles on the year, two coming in GVC play.

Cummings, a freshman from Arcata High School, averaged 9.7 points this season with 13 games in double figures and a season-high of 18 points in a 84-70 win over Merritt.
