REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women's track and field team won eight of the 11 events it competed in and the men won five events Saturday at the Shasta College Invite.
Alyssa Burke won three events, posting the meet's best marks in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. Grace Southern, Sydney Perkins, Matteya Ruiz and Zoey Bishop each won individual events and combined to win the 4x100 Relay.
Shasta's Jayden Gordon won the 100-meter race while Brock Fisher won the 110 hurdles and Shasta won both 4x100 and 4x400 Relay races. Shawn Scribner won the triple jump and was the lone field event winner for the Knight men.

RUNNING EVENTS
100: Jayden Gordon won in 11.15, Tyler Carey was fifth (11.36), Bradley Murray was 14th (11.95).
200: Kenyon Riley was second (23.56), Ethen Collins was 10th (25.37), Bradley Murray was 11th (25.52)
400: Riley was second (51.28), Caleb Rowe was fourth (55.44), Collins was sixth (57.67).
800: Jacob Garrett was second (2:04.93), Marcus Francescut was fourth (2:10.30), Jeshua Wilkinson was eighth (2:18.75).
1,500: Garrett was third (4:23.69), Francescut was fourth (4:29.37).
110 hurdles: Brock Fisher won in 15.70.
4x100 Relay: Fisher, Murray, Collins and Riley won in 44.19
4x400 Relay: Riley, Garrett, Rowe and Collins won in 4:09.61.
FIELD EVENTS
High Jump: Fisher, Scribner and Murray all tied for fourth, clearing 5 foot, 8 inches.
Pole Vault: Chad Cooper was second (12-0.75).
Long Jump: Scribner was fourth (19-9), Rowe was sixth (19-6), Gavin Dobson was 12th (16-1.75).
Triple Jump: Scribner won (42-5.25), Rowe was second (42-4.25) and Cooper was third (35-8.75).
Shot Put: Jonathan Wilson was fourth (36-9.75), Davis Murphy was eighth (35-8.5).
Discus: Murphy was fifth (111-9), Wilson was 13th (87-1).
Hammer Throw: Murphy was third (120-11), Wilson was seventh (95-1).
Javelin: Rowe was sixth (119-6), Aaron Young was seventh (117-1)
WOMEN
RUNNING EVENTS
100: Bishop was second (13.01).
400: Perkins was third (1:09.89).
800: Southern won in 2:23.46.
1,500: Angelique Escobar was third in 8:17.77.
100 hurdles: Perkins won in 17.47.
