Shasta College's track and field team won eight total events on Saturday at the Butte College Invitational with the women winning six events and the men taking two events.
Alyssa Burke led the way with three event wins in the high jump, long jump and triple jump while Grace Southern and Sydney Perkins were each part of two event victories.
Men
RUNNING Shasta's 4x400 Relay team of Kenyon Riley, Wilkinson, Collins and Jacob Garrett won in 3:42.00. Shasta's 4x100 Relay team of Brock Fisher, Bradley Murray, Collins and Kenyon Riley was second in 45.17. Fisher won the 110 hurdles in 15.59 seconds, Riley was second in the 200 (22.53) and third in the 400 (51.26), Jacob Garrett was second in the 800 (2:05.89) and third in the 1,500 (4:30.64), Marcus Francescut was fourth in both the 800 (2:14.26) and the 1,500 (4:31.18), Caleb Rowe was 11th in the 200 (24.71) and Isaiah Wilson was 12th in the 1,500 (6:08.80).
FIELD: Shawn Scribner was second in the triple jump (13.06), fourth in the high jump (5-10) and long jump (6.19). Fisher was second in the high jump (6-2), Aaron Young was second in the pole vault (13-1), Chad Cooper was third in the pole vault (12-1), Rowe was fifth in the long jump (5.90) and Bradley Murray was seventh in the long jump (5.20).
THROWING: Gavin Dobson was fourth in the javelin throw (39.83), Young was seventh in the javelin (36.70), Rowe was eighth in the javelin (34.02) and Fisher was 12th in the javelin (25.26). Jonathan Wilson sixth in the shot put (11.50), and seventh in the discus (102-4) and hammer throw (87-9). Davis Murphy was third in the hammer throw (121-5) and seventh in the shot put (11.25).
Women
RUNNING: Shasta's 4x100 Relay team of Sydney Perkins, Grace Southern, Matteya Ruiz and Zoey Bishop won in 54.18. Southern won the 800 (2:25.88) and was third in the 400 (1:02.78), Bishop was second in both the 200 (27.15) and 400 (1:01.24), Perkins was second in the 400 hurdles (1:18.69) and Angelique Escobar was third in the 1,500 (8:30.85).
FIELD: Shasta's Alyssa Burke won the high jump (5-4), long jump (5.17) and triple jump (11.64). Perkins won the pole vault (10-6), Ruiz was second (10-0) in the pole vault, third in the triple jump (9.41) and fifth in the long jump (4.35)
THROWING: No Knights competed in the throwing events.
