MINO, THULIN LEAD KNIGHTS AT MODESTO INVITE

MODESTO, Calif. – Shasta College's swim team captured six events at the Modesto Junior College Invite with Cabrillo College, Delta College, Merced College and Modesto.

Gabrille Mino won both of her events and Kellie McGee was the other event winner for the women. For the men, Jacob Thulin was a double-event winner and Paden Nelson also won an event.

Men had seven top-five finishes and the women had five top-five finishes.

WOMEN

Mino was the high-point earner for the Knights with 40 points, capturing both the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute, 1.3 seconds and also the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.23. She was tied for fifth-most points for the women.

McGee collected 37 points, winning the 100 backstroke in 1:12.64 and finishing second in the 200 free style (2:18.45).

Karlee Rowe was second in both of her events for 34 standing points. Rowe finished the 50 free in 26.21 and the 100 free in 57.57.

MEN

Thulin won both his events, capturing the 50 free in 22.18 and the 100 fly in 54.00 for 40 standing points. He was tied for the eighth-most points for the men.

Nelson won the 100 back (1:05.56) and was second in the 200 free (1:58.28).

Matthew Beam was fourth in both his events for 30 standing points. He finished the 100 fly in 58.98 and the 100 free in 51.98.

Wyatt Gardner was fifth in the 500 free (7:28.52) and seventh in the 100 back (1:21.98) for 26 points.

Kyan Klinger was ninth in the 100 free (54.55) and 10th in the 50 free (24.49) for 16 standing points.

Alex Rhodes was seventh in the 100 breast (1:15.58) for 12 points.
