KNIGHTS WIN FIVE EVENTS AT MEET WITH DELTA

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's swim and dive team lost a home dual meet against San Joaquin Delta College on March 12.

Overall, the Knights fell 296-175 with the women falling 152-109 and the men 144-66. Shasta College had one event win for the women and three for the men.

Angelique Passadakis was the high-point winner for the Knight women with 12 points, tying for fourth and earning the lone Shasta win in 3-meter diving with a score of 128.40 points.

Howard Evans was part of three event wins for the men, capturing the 200 freestyle (1:48.99) and the 100 free (48.47) in addition to the 200 Medley Relay victory. He tied for the men overall high-point winner with 14 points, a four-way tie for first.

Shasta competes at a two-day meet at Merced Community College on April 4-5.

WOMEN RESULTS
The 200 Medley Relay team of Aida Kowalski, Dana McMurtrey, Mirena Guillot and Haley Moebes was second in 2 minutes, 9.83 seconds and the same team took second in the 400 Free Relay in 4:18.62.

McMurtrey was third in the 200 free (2:14.89) and the 100 free (1:01.52), Guillot was third in the 100 butterfly (1:13.13) fourth in the 200 free (2:20.96) and Haley Moebes was third in the 100 backstroke (1:12.39) fifth in the 50 free (29.37). Brooke Engles tied for second with Kowalski in the 50 free (27.53) and finished fourth in the 500 free (6:38.78), and Kowalski was second in the 100 back (1:12.11). Alexis Prado was fifth in the 100 back (1:44.10) sixth in the 50 free (36.64), Nicole Keane is third in the 200 Individual Medley (2:49.42) and the 100 breaststroke (1:26.77). Stephanie Parsons was fourth in the 200 IM (2:50.81) and the 100 fly (1:21.60), Passadakis was second in 1-meter diving (124.85 points) and Autumn Monson was fourth in the 100 free (1:11.89) and fourth in the 100 breast (1:26.79).

MEN'S RESULTS

Shasta's team of Bryon Upshaw, Evans, Mitchell Palmer and Curtis Moore won the 200 Medley Relay in 1:55.33 and the same team was second in the 400 Free Relay in 3:50.24.

Curtis Moore was second in the 50 free (24.47) and the 100 back (1:19.17), Bryon Upshaw was second in the 200 IM (2:34.23) and third in the 100 free (1:02.17), and Mitchell Palmer was second in the 100 breast (1:21.80) and third in the 200 IM (2:39.06).
