EUREKA, Calif. – Shasta College's men's basketball team lost to College of the Redwoods 101-74 on the road in the final game of the season.
Shasta trailed 37-36 at halftime but surrendered 64 points in the second half. The Knights drained 11 3-pointers and shot 48 percent from 3-point range but committed 24 turnovers in the game. Carson Kingston scored a team-best 22 points, Christopher Phipps turned in a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, Benjamin Keown scored 13 points and Jason Lagdamon scored eight points to go with five rebounds. Hunter Warren came off the bench to score nine points.
Shasta went winless in Golden Valley Conference plan, falling to 0-10 and wrapped up the season with an overall record of 1-27.
SEASON STATS
Keown led the team in scoring average with 12.5 points per game, followed by Kingston (10.5 ppg) and Aiden Pearsall-Morgan (10.0 ppg), respectively. Keown also led the team with 60 3-pointers made.
Keown's 4.6 rebounds per game led the Knights. Kingston (4.3 rpg), Tyrese Christie (3.8 rpg) rounded out the top three in rebounding for Shasta. Pearsall-Morgan led the team with 4.4 assists per game.
