KNIGHTS LOSE PAIR AT GEORGE GOTO CLASSIC

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College men's basketball team lost both contests at the George Goto Classic, falling to City College of San Francisco 112-38 and Sierra College 62-57.

San Francisco 112, Shasta 38
The Knights trailed 52-14 at halftime and shot 23 percent (13 of 56) from the field in the game, compared to San Francisco's 72 percent shooting. Josiah Palumbo led the Knights in scoring with 13 points, Bekdoo Lewis pulled down a team-best five rebounds and Kameron Morphew scored seven points off the bench. Shasta was outrebounded 43-17 in the game.

Sierra 62, Shasta 57
Shasta rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit but couldn't overcome the Wolverines. Palumbo's 21 points paced the Knights, who got 16 points and five rebounds from Josiah Hutt and 13 points and five boards from Lewis. Kevin Cox dished five assists.

Shasta (0-6) hosts the Shasta Invitational starting Thursday, Nov. 17.
