SHASTA BASEBALL TRIUMPHS OVER SISKIYOUS WITH A DOMINANT PERFORMANCE

In an impressive display on the baseball diamond, the Shasta Knights cruised to a commanding 9-2 victory over the Siskiyous Eagles. The game, held in Redding, saw Shasta take an early lead and maintain control throughout, capitalizing on Siskiyous' errors and stringing together solid offensive plays.

The game remained scoreless through the first inning, but Shasta broke through in the second inning when Kaden Bruns singled in a run, putting Shasta on the board. The Knights continued to build on their momentum in the third inning with a sacrifice fly from Trenton Hermann and an RBI single from Baron Delameter, extending their lead to 3-0.

Shasta's offensive prowess was further exemplified in the fourth inning as McCovey Williams and Spencer Lee added three more runs with a combination of singles and a double, widening the gap to 6-0. Siskiyous struggled to find their rhythm at the plate, failing to score until the seventh inning when Isak Hearell drove in two with a single, though the runs were unearned due to fielding mishaps by Shasta.

The Knights answered back in the bottom of the seventh with two more runs, including a sacrifice fly by Nicholas Pappas and an RBI double from Tristan Houghwillis, solidifying Shasta's victory at 9-2.

Shasta's pitching staff delivered a stellar performance, allowing only two hits throughout the game. Jason Noffsinger, Grayson Cooper, and others managed to keep the Siskiyous' batters at bay, amassing a total of 11 strikeouts, and ensuring that Shasta's early lead was never truly threatened.

Daniel Osborne and Baron Delameter led Shasta's charge, each collecting multiple hits and runs. Despite Siskiyous' efforts, including a baserunning highlight with a stolen base by Dylan Fisher, their performance was hampered by a lack of hits and defensive errors.

The Knights will hit the road this Thursday as they travel to Canada College for a three-game series.
