EUREKA, Calif. – Shasta College's baseball team lost 16-4 and won 8-2 against College of the Redwoods in a Golden Valley Conference doubleheader.
Redwoods 16, Shasta 4
Shasta's Andrew Shanks took the loss after giving up six runs on nine hits in four innings. Jaden Hunter was 2 for 2 with a home run and two runs, Garret Finch was 2 for 3 with a double and Hayden Boyes was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Shasta 8, Redwoods 2
Justin Evasovic struck out five and walked two while giving up one run on six hits across six frames to earn the win. Ian Bauer picked up the three-inning save, finishing with four strikeouts. Brady Bloss was 3 for 6 with two RBIs, Finch hit a home run, Boyes had a double and two RBIs and Trenton Hermann and Hunter had two hits and two runs apiece.
