REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's baseball team won two out of three games on the week against College of the Siskiyous, winning 3-2 and 17-5 before falling 7-4.
Shasta 3, Siskiyous 2
Shasta walked-off with a two-run single from Garret Finch in the bottom of the ninth. Andrew Shanks struck out five, walked none and gave up one earned run on seven hits to earn the complete game victory. Baron Delameter was the only other Knight with a hit.
Shasta 17, Siskiyous 5 (8)
The Knights rallied with an eight-run fifth. Justin Evasovic gave up two runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings to get the win. Shasta totaled 17 hits in the game, led by Sodai Takanaga's 4 for 4 day with two RBIs and two runs. Trenton Hermann went 2 for 4 with a home run, three RBIs and four runs, Brady Bloss was 4 for 4 with two doubles, Brenden Eberle was 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs and Caleb Martinez had two RBIs.
Siskiyous 7, Shasta 4
Ian Bauer took the loss after striking out five and walking four in five innings. Bloss was 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs and Hayden Boyes had a double. Blake Bozzini was 2 for 4 with a run.
