Shasta College Infielder Payton Edwards (Red Bluff) has agreed to continue his education and play baseball at California State University Monterey Bay.  The Sea Otters are affiliated and compete in the very competitive CCAA conference.

Payton hit .356 with 3HR and had 18 RBIs.  "I am excited to see what the future holds for Payton at the next level.  I have coached a lot of good hitters during my time at Shasta College and Payton is right up there with some of the best.  Monterey is not only getting a good baseball player but a good person as well," said Head Coach Brad Rupert.
