KNIGHTS DROP GVC MATCHES TO SISKIYOUS, FEATHER RIVER

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's volleyball team lost two Golden Valley Conference matches last week, falling to College of the Siskiyous in four sets and losing on the road to Feather River in straight sets.

The Knights fell to Siskiyous 21-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-19 despite two players recording double digit kills. Emma Magini led the way with 14 kills and nine digs and Emmarae Westphal totaled 10 kills and nine digs. Rose Young dished 21 assists, six kills and seven digs, Brooke Vaughan had 13 digs and Jacie Clavelle had 15 assists and eight digs.

In the loss to Feather River, Shasta fell 25-14, 25-18, 25-15. The Golden Eagles out-hit the Knights 46-16 with Magini leading the way with seven kills. Westphal added four kills and 13 digs while Vaughan had 13 digs and Young chipped in with 11 digs.
