Coach Depablos was born and raised in Quintana Roo, Mexico. She played 10 years of competitive soccer for club and nation (Mexico). Recruited to play in the USA for Simpson University, Sofia received a four-year athletic scholarhip allowing her to complete her studies and earn her degree in Kinesiology in 2021. She is actively pursing a US soccer coaching license and is "passionate and committed to help young girls an dwomen realize their soccer and academic goals".
