Coach Laura Velasquez was born and raised in Texas, but calls Redding home. She studied and obtained her BA from the University of Houston, then at Texas Woman's University where she obtained her graduate degree in business. Laura played soccer in high school and throughout college. She has organized, planned, and lead numerous youth soccer clinics and camps throughout Texas and is "passionate about using soccer as a tool to teach leadership skills to young women".
