KNIGHTS FALL TO BUTTE, SISKIYOUS

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's basketball team lost a pair of Golden Valley Conference games on the week, falling 67-40 at home to Butte College and 69-54 at College of the Siskiyous.

Butte 67, Shasta 40
Shasta led 10-6 after the opening quarter but was outscored 41-17 in the middle periods. The Knights were outrebounded 42-26 in the loss and shot 5 percent (1 of 19) from 3-point range. Amber Wallace was the lone Knight in double figures with 13 points while Isabella Padilla and Esmeralda Jaimes Estrada scored eight points apiece. Kaleia Mizuta scored seven points and Jeanna Bucher's six rebounds were a team-high.

Siskiyous 69, Shasta 54
Shasta trailed 41-26 at half but outscored the Eagles in the fourth period 14-8. The Knights lost the turnover battle 23-11. Wallace scored 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds, Padilla scored nine points to go with 13 rebounds and Mizuta scored nine points and grabbed four steals.

Shasta (4-4 GVC, 11-12) play at Feather River and host Lassen to close out the year.
