KNIGHTS EDGE LASSEN 48-43 ON ROAD

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's basketball team edged Lassen College 48-43 on the road to move to 4-2 in Golden Valley Conference play. The Knights' game at Feather River later in the week was postponed due to weather conditions.

Shasta jumped out to a strong first half, winning both the first and second quarter to lead 26-19 at the break. It was enough to hold off Lassen, which outscored Shasta 15-13 in the final period.

The Knights shot 15 percent (3 of 19) from 3-point range and 27 percent (16 of 60) from the floor in the game. Kaleia Mizuta scored 20 points to go with four steals and four rebounds and Amber Wallace scored 17 points to go with five boards and a pair of blocks. Liobii Nabahe-Henry had a team-high eight rebounds.

Shasta moved to 4-2 in GVC play and 11-13 overall.
