KNIGHTS WIN 10 EVENTS, TAKE SECOND AT SEQUOIAS MEET

VISALIA, Calif. – Shasta College's men's and women's swim teams competed at the four-way meet at College of Sequoias last week.

The Knight women finished second with 363 points behind Fresno (519 points) and ahead of Sequoias (354) and Clovis (347), respectively.

The Shasta men were second with 307 points behind Sequoias (994) and Clovis (191). Fresno did not have a male competitor.

Combined, Shasta was second with 670 points. Sequoias won with 1,348 points.

WOMEN
Gabrielle Mino was fourth overall in points with 57 across her three events to lead the Knights. She was a dual-event winner, taking first in the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute, 1.50 seconds and taking first in the 100 backstroke (1:06.75). She was second in the 200 Individual Medley (2:24.04).

Shannon Perrine was seventh with 47 points. She won the 50 back (22.88), finished third in the 100 back (1:16.85) and eighth in the 100 IM (1:22.38).

Jordan Zufall was eighth with 46 points. She was third in the 50 freestyle (27.67), 100 breaststroke (1:19.97) and fifth in the 100 free (1:01.77).

Mia-Michelle Morris scored 33 points. She won the 200 IM (2:18.25) and was fourth in the 50 breast (43.33) and sixth in the 100 breast (1:30.34). Chloe Shultz also scored 33 points. She finished fourth in the 100 back (1:26.60), seventh in the 500 free (6:56.40) and 11th in the 100 free (1:10.05).

Angelica Aflague scored 30 points. She was fifth in the 50 fly (38.00), eighth in the 500 free (7:23.35) and 12th in the 100 free (1:11.76).

Ellie Radzille was second in the 1-meter diving with 146.2 points, Brooke Seagrave was third in 1-meter diving (82.65 points), Camille Erickson was fourth in 1-meter diving with 63.4 points and Stephanie Ramos was 10th in the 500 free (8:11.96) and 100 free (1:24.03).

MEN
Kenny Rupp was third overall in points with 60, winning all three of his events: 100 free (47.57), 500 free (4:56.36) and 100 back (56.50).

Ryan Kupsky was fourth with 55 points. He was a dual-event winner with victories in the 200 IM (2:03.13) and 100 breast (1:02.36). Kupsky was fourth in the 50 free (23.39).

Gavin Kitchen was seventh with 52 points. Kitchen won the 50 back (26.61) and was third in the 100 back (1:00.02) and 100 IM (1:02.56).

Chanhyuk Lee was third in the 50 fly (26.70), fourth in the 100 fly (1:02.31), Jacob Chamberlin was fourth in 1-meter diving (82.95 points) and James Johnston was fifth in 1-meter diving (77.55 points).
