SHASTA WINS FOUR EVENTS AT MERCED LAST CHANCE MEET

MERCED, Calif. – Shasta College's swim team won four events at the Merced College Last Chance Meet on Friday.

The event winners from the women included Ashlee Duckworth winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter event and Adessa Berglund won the 400-yard Individual Medley. For the men, Jacob Thulin won the 200-yard butterfly.

Below are the results per swimmer for the Knights at the meet:

MEN

Thulin won the 200 fly (2 minutes, 6.35 seconds), was second in the 100 freestyle (49.62) and the 100 backstroke (57.84).

Bradley MacLauren was third in the 100 back (58.09), fourth in the 100 fly (58.35) and sixth in the 200 free (2:00.15).

WOMEN

Berglund won the 400 IM (5:48.18), was fifth in the 200 breaststroke (3:05.81) and seventh in the 100 breast (1:24.27).

Duckworth won both the 3-meter diving (158.02 points) and 1-meter diving (165.23 points).

Jade Eagleson was seventh in the 500 free (6:58.85), eighth in the 100 breast (1:34.78) and ninth in the 200 free (2:33.66).

Karlee Rowe was third in the 200 back (2:32.07), sixth in the 100 breast (1:23.28) and 13 th in the 200 free (2:41.96).

Amalia Shelton was seventh in the 100 back (1:51.17), 13 th in the 100 free (1:16.10) and 14 th in the 50 free (31.97).

Cassidy Wolsey was sixth in the 500 free (6:46.39), seventh in the 200 free (2:28.54) and 10 th in the 100 free (1:10.02).
