Coach Tom Wallis' began his tenure at Shasta College in the fall of 2023 but his love for soccer began in England where he learned to play before moving to the USA. He has coached soccer since 2010 which includes experience coaching male, female, and co-ed teams. Coach has extensive training through the US Soccer Federation, US Club Soccer,  and also holds “E” and “Goal Keeping” Licenses. Coach Wallis has attended multiple College ID Camps and understands what four-year colleges are looking for in prospective students and how to train community college athletes to prepare to transfer to prospective 4-year colleges and universities. Coach Wallis is an avid student of the game and coaching in general, reading extensively, attending coach training, and following mainly Premier League,  Bundesliga, MLS, and NWSL teams and players. Coach’s focus for the Shasta College Men’s Soccer Program is to foster a positive environment that will continuously improve team chemistry and the athletic skills and personal development of each of the competitors on the team. Coach Wallis believes “Soccer is life; Life is soccer” in that the experiences built into soccer are training for what you experience in real life.
