SHASTA COLLEGE BLASTS SISKIYOUS 82-61

WEED, Calif. – Shasta College's men's basketball team continued their winning ways in Golden Valley Conference play with an 82-61 road win over College of the Siskiyous on Saturday.

The Knights led 46-34 at halftime and cruised to their 11th double-digit victory of the season to move to 5-1 in GVC play and 14-9 overall.

All seven of the Knights that scored in the game contributed at least nine points with sophomores Blake Trent and Hunter Johnson leading the way with 15 points apiece. Johnson turned his into a double-double, his 10th of the year, with 12 rebounds to go with six assists.

Shasta sophomore point guard Jordan Spaschak scored nine points, dished 11 assists and grabbed eight rebounds. Sophomore Zach Lowe pitched in with 13 points on three 3-pointers and sophomores Kellen Gerig and Grant Smith each scored nine points. David O'Brien scored 12 points off the bench.

The Knights limited the Eagles to 2 of 14 from 3-point land and forced 16 turnovers in the game.
