SHASTA FALLS FLAT AGAINST BUTTE, FEATHER RIVER

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's baseball team lost five games on the week, two to Butte College (8-4, 12-3) and three to Feather River College (20-2, 9-2, 16-3) to fall to 2-6 in Golden Valley Conference play.

Butte sweeps Shasta
Shasta lost 8-4 and 12-3 against Butte. Andrew Shanks took the loss in the first game in relief and Brenden Eberle and William Mager each had a two-hit game for the Knights. In the second game, Ian Bauer gave up four runs in five innings to take the loss. Mager was 4 for 4, Eberle had a pair of hits and Hayden Boyes had a double and two runs.

Feather River downs Shasta
Shasta cycled through nine pitchers in the 20-2 loss and Eberle was the lone Knight with a multi-hit game. Garret Finch and Boyes each hit a double. Shasta's Justin Evasovic took the loss in the 9-2 defeat, while Blake Bozzini went 2 for 4 for the only multi-hit game for the Knights. In the 16-3 loss, Jeremy Carroll-Schneider was credited with the defeat. Shasta managed three hits in the game from three different players with Mager driving in the lone RBI.
