SHASTA FALLS TO ARC, SANTA ROSA ON ROAD

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College baseball team lost to American River College 12-11 in 10 innings and fell to Santa Rosa Junior College 14-2 last week.

American River 12, Shasta 11 (10)
Shasta jumped out to an 8-0 lead midway through the third inning – its first lead of the season. However, ARC tied it at 11 with a six-run eighth. An RBI double from Duncan Hansen in the bottom of the 10th sealed it for the Beavers. Aaron Wood took the loss in relief, allowing one run on one hit and walking one batter. Paul Luebbers struck out three, walked five and allowed two unearned runs on two hits in five innings as the starter for the Knights. Hayden Boyes was 3 for 6 with an RBI and three runs, William Mager was 3 for 5 with an RBI and two runs, Baron Delameter was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a run, Trenton Hermann was 1 for 4 with three RBIs and Brady Bloss had a double, an RBI and scored twice.

Santa Rosa 14, Shasta 2
The Bear Cubs scored three in the first and five in the second and never looked back. Ian Bauer struck out two, walked four and gave up seven earned runs on seven hits in three innings to take the loss. Hermann was 2 for 3 with a double, Logan Kind was 1 for 3 with a double, an RBI and a run and Kaden Bruns had a hit.
