REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's baseball team pounded Yuba College 14-5 at home on Tuesday.

The Knights took the lead in the third inning on Giacomo Crosetti's RBI single and blew the game open with a four-run sixth inning.

Shasta racked up 16 hits in the game with five players recording multi-hit games: AJ Davies was 3 for 5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs, Shea Bowen was 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and three runs, Noah Weaver was 2 for 5 with two runs, Crosetti was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and Jude Marquez was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and two runs. Hunter Pinkston also drove in two runs.

Jay Mendez got the win on the mound for the Knights, finishing with two strikeouts and one walk while allowing three earned runs on eight hits.

Shasta (8-7) plays College of the Redwoods in a weather makeup game this week.
