SHASTA SHUTS OUT SISKIYOUS 4-0

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women's soccer team recorded its third shutout of the season by blanking College of the Siskiyous 4-0. The Knights also lost on the road to Butte College to end the week.

The Knights scored twice in each half against the Eagles and three players accounted for the four goals. Abagail Moore and Sophia Triantafyllou took turns setting each other up for goals with the former scoring in the 38th minute before the latter finding the back of the net three minutes later. Triantafyllou scored in the 51st minute and then assisted Serena Elwood in the 66th minute. Reagen Mellov had two saves in 55 minutes in goal for the Knights.

Against Butte, Shasta allowed two goals in each half and was outshot 16-4. Mello recorded seven saves in 11 opportunities in the defeat.

Shasta is 4-3 in GVC play and 4-9 overall.
