SHASTA PLAYS SISKIYOUS TO 2-2 DRAW IN SEASON FINALE

WEED, Calif. – Shasta College's women's soccer team played College of the Siskiyous to a 2-2 draw in the season finale on Tuesday.

The Knights trailed 2-0 before Jenna Monahan scored on an Angelique Passadakis assist with five minutes left in the first half. Alexis Highfill scored in the 70th minute on a Gabrielle Johnson assist and the match remained tied to the final whistle.

Shasta had 23 shots in the game, led by seven from Olivia Smith, six from Johnson and five from Monahan.

Bethany Sather had three saves and allowed two goals as the Knights goalkeeper.

Johnson led the team this season with 11 goals, followed by Highfill (4) and Smith (3). Smith's seven assists was tops for the Knights and Monahan had five. Sather recorded 77 assists and allowed 32 goals and Emily Porter had 33 saves in 48 chances.

Shasta finishes the year 2-6-2 in Golden Valley Conference play and 5-9-2 overall.
