KNIGHTS RALLY TO BEAT LASSEN, SNAP FOUR-GAME SKID

SUSANVILLE, Calif. – Shasta College's women's basketball team rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit to beat Lassen College on the road to snap a four-game losing streak.

The Knights fell behind 13-2 after the opening period and 30-18 at halftime. But Shasta held Lassen to eight points in each of the third and fourth quarters and got hot offensively, dropping 40 in the second half.

Shasta won the rebounding edge 49-29 with Gigi Velasquez accounting for 16 of those. Graceyn Harlan scored 20 points and had nine rebounds, Emmy Gaddy scored 10 points, Bailey Matos filled up the stat sheet with nine points, nine rebounds and eight assists and Creedence Shaver came off the bench to contribute nine points and seven rebounds.

Shasta (2-5 Golden Valley Conference, 11-15) plays at College of the Redwoods Wednesday in the season finale.
