SHASTA STAYS HOT WITH WIN OVER MARIN

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women's basketball team outscored Marin College 19-11 in the final period to win 65-53 and extend its winning streak to three games.

Emma Gaddy paced the Knights in scoring with 15 points to go with four assists and four steals. Ryleigh Hart recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, Gigi Velasquez had six points and 12 rebounds and six steals, Creedence Shaver scored eight points and added a team-high three steals, and Graceyn Harlan scored 10 points off the bench.

Shasta led 20-7 after the opening period and led 31-19 at halftime. But ARC dropped 23 points in the third to tie it at 46 entering the final quarter. Shasta outrebounded Marin 39-19 and forced 19 turnovers in the game.

Shasta (4-3) hosts its Crossover Tournament from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 and squares off against Solano, San Mateo and Yuba.
