SHASTA'S WINNING STREAK GROWS TO FIVE

Folsom Lake, Calif. – The Shasta College women's basketball team extended its winning streak to five games by edging Folsom Lake 68-67 on the road.

The Knights led 36-31 at halftime and held on to win despite being outscored in each of the third and fourth quarters. Shasta forced 25 turnovers in the game.

Sophomore Megan Collins led Shasta with an all-around effort that included 26 points, seven assists, seven steals and three blocks. Kaleia Mizuta scored 11 points and added five rebounds and five assists, Isabela Padilla scored 10 points and grabbed seven boards, Amber Wallace chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds and Riley Wallen pulled down nine rebounds in the win.

The Knights (6-2) host their three-day Shasta College Invitational Thursday.
