SHASTA WOMEN WIN CODY BEAUMONT INVITE, MEN SECOND

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women's track and field team won the Cody Beaumont Invitational on their home track, winning 11 events and turning in 23 top-five finishes. The Knight men were second with five event wins and 21 top-five finishes. 

For the women, Shasta's 103 points led the way, followed by Butte (60), Siskiyous (24), Redwoods (14), Simpson University (14) and 12 points came from unattached competitors. 

Butte won the men's team competition with 77 points while Shasta was a close second with 73 points. Siskiyous was third (36), Redwoods fourth (35), unattached participants accounted for 23 points and Simpson University collected 13 points. 

Shasta sophomore Alyssa Burke won all three of her events while Jacob Garrett was a dual-event winner for the men. 

WOMEN'S RESULTS 
Running: Shasta's 4x100 Relay team of AudrieReuss, Ali Sager, Katherine Martinez and Kelsey Lemoine was second in 1:01.91 and the 4x400 Relay team of Reuss, Martinez, Burke and Grace Southern won in 4:48.33. Lemoine won the 100 (13.25) and the 200 (28.47), Southern won the 800 (2:25.84) and was second in the 1,500 (5:19.85), Martinez won the 100 hurdles (16.42), Adrian Bartlett won the 400 hurdles (1:23.11), was third in the 200 (30.67), Sager was fourth in the 100 (13.66) was third in the 100 hurdles (16.78). 

Field: Burke won the high jump (5-3.75), long jump (17-4.75) and the triple jump (36-6.75), MatteyaRuiz won the pole vault (11-8) and was second in the triple jump (31-8.75), and Martinez was second in the pole vault (10-6). 

Throwing: Kathryn Dowdy won the hammer throw (36.98), third in the shot put (31-3.75) and fifth in the discus (72-2). Martinez was second in the javelin (106-3), Reuss was fourth in the shot put (31-0.5), Kiley Throssel was third in the hammer throw (32.26), eighth in the shot put (26-11) and sixth in the discus (68-8). Caitlin Sanders was eighth in the discus (58-5) and the hammer throw (62-3), ninth in the shot put (24-7.25), and SachielHarper was sixth in the hammer throw (74-5), seventh in the discus (66-6) and 10th in the shot put (24-2.5). 

MENS RESULTS 
Running: Shasta's 4x100 Relay team of Tyler Boston, Brock Fisher, Emari White and Kenyon Riley was second in 43.89, Shasta's 4x400 Relay team of Riley, Fisher, White and Garrett was second in the 3:32.97. Fisher won the 110 hurdles (15.63 seconds), Garrett won the 800 (1:59.40) and the 1,500 (4:16.75), Riley was second in the 400 (50.71), Emari White was second in the 110 hurdles (17.34), Bradley Murray was sixth in the 400 (55.08), ninth in the 200 (24.49), Brandon Heese was seventh in the 100 (12.11), 10th in the 200 (24.99), Caleb Rowe was 12th in the 200 (25.46), Cordell Brock was 15th in the 1,500 (5:16.27), and Isiah Wilson was 17th in the 1,500 (5:43.62). 

Field: Chris Martinez won the pole vault (13-5.75), Shawn Scribner won the long jump (21-0.75) and third in the triple jump (42-9.75), Fisher was second in the high jump (5-7.75), Rowe was second in the triple jump (13.30) and fourth in the long jump (19-8.75), Theodore Corontzos was third in the high jump (5-5.75) and fifth in the triple jump (38-10.5), Murray was fifth in the long jump (18-5), Jonathan Heglar was sixth in the triple jump (37-6) and seventh in the long jump (18-1.5) and Erick Vallejo-Giffen was eight in the long jump (18-0.5). 

Throwing: Jim Mogen was third in the hammer throw (132-0), fourth in the shot put (41-11.5) and fifth in the discus (108-3). Cory Johnson was fifth in the shot put (39-2.5), ninth in the discus (96-7), 11th in the javelin (82-7) and 12th in the hammer throw (87-10). Martinez was sixth in the javelin (119-11) and Ty Thomas was eighth in the javelin (109-10). Jonathan Wilson was seventh in the shot put (36-9.75), 10th in the discus (96-2) and 11th in the hammer throw (87-0). Davis Murphy was fourth in the hammer throw (119-11), ninth in the shot put (35-11.25), 11th in the discus (93-4). Dashawn Gregory was 15th in the shot put (32-4.25), 16th in the hammer throw (56-8), 17th in the discus (71-6). Xavier Hernandez was 15th in the discus (76-9), 15th in the hammer throw (74-7), 19th in the shot put (28-4.25)
