SALINAS, Calif. – The Shasta College softball team lost a road doubleheader to Hartnell College, falling 10-2 and 11-2 in five innings.

Hartnell 10, Shasta 2 (5)
Hartnell scored in every inning, ending it on a walk-off two-run double in the bottom of the fifth for the mercy-rule. Morgan Burke took the loss for Shasta after giving up 10 runs on 14 hits. Bourke also had one of Shasta's three hits on the day and scored a run. Callie Kingsbury had a hit and an RBI and Autumn Tenney had a hit and scored a run.

Hartnell 11, Shasta 2 (5)
A pair of four-run innings aided Hartnell to the doubleheader sweep. Cora Peterson walked five and gave up nine earned runs on 10 hits to take the complete game loss. Joci Bertain had a double and scored a run and Kinsgbury, Macey Bunn and Kira Montgomery each had singles.
