KNIGHTS DROP THREE GAMES AT TRISTAN HILL HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT

STOCKTON, Calif. – Shasta College's men's basketball team lost three games at the Tristan Hill Holiday Tournament. The Knights lost 83-60 to host San Joaquin Delta, fell 71-47 to Merritt and dropped an 80-58 contest to Sierra.

San Joaquin Delta 83, Shasta 60
The Knights trailed 49-23 at half and shot 2 of 13 (15 percent) from 3-point range. Aiden Pearsall-Morgan scored 22 points, Carson Kingston scored eight points and Benjamin Keown scored seven points to go with a team-best six rebounds and five assists. Evan Martinez scored six points off the bench. Delta drained 12 3-pointers in the game.

Merritt 71, Shasta 47
Shasta fell behind 42-17 at half and never recovered. Shasta shot 25 percent from the floor and recorded seven of 17 made shots from beyond the arc. Aramane Collins came off the bench to lead Shasta in scoring with 11 points. Pearsall-Morgan, Keown and Anthony Sanchez each scored seven points. Pearsall-Morgan added six assists and Martinez pitched in with four steals. Keown grabbed five rebounds.

Sierra 80, Shasta 58
The Knights trailed by four at half but was outscored 45-27 in the second half. Tyrese Christie scored 17 points, Sanchez scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds, Keown scored nine points and had nine rebounds and Pearsall-Morgan dished nine assists.

Shasta moves to 1-15 overall.
