KNIGHTS FALL TO REDWOODS AT HOME

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College men's basketball team lost 86-70 to College of the Redwoods at home.

The Knights trailed 40-33 at halftime but matched the Corsairs with a 46-point second half. Shasta shot 80 percent (12 of 15) from the free throw line and made 9 of 23 3-pointers but allowed 41 percent shooting from 3-point range from Redwoods.

Diante Rush led all scorers with 24 points to go with seven assists and three steals while Josiah Palumbo scored 17 points and Bekdoo Lewis scored 11 points. Kameron Morphew scored 10 points off the bench and Palumbo, Josiah Hutt and Manuel Rios each had team-highs with five rebounds.

The loss was Shasta's ninth straight and the Knights (4-19) are winless in Golden Valley Conference play at 0-5.
