SHASTA FALLS TO COLUMBIA, YUBA ON ROAD

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's men's basketball team dropped a pair of road games on the week, falling 96-56 at Columbia and 84-65 at Yuba.

Columbia 96, Shasta 56
The Knights couldn't recover from a 55-24 halftime deficit. Shasta never reached the foul line in the game and shot 30 percent from the floor (24 of 80), including 8 of 33 from 3-point range. Josiah Palumbo was the lone Knight in double figures with 24 points while Josiah Hutt, Evan Bidwell and Kameron Morphew each contributed six points. Morphew added a team-high eight boards in the loss.

Yuba 84, Shasta 65
The Knights trailed 40-33 at halftime and couldn't catch the 49ers. Shasta lost the turnover battle 17-8. Three players scored in doubles figures for the Knights, who were led by Hutt (19), Carson Kingston (16) and Palumbo (12), respectively. Hutt added nine rebounds, Bekdoo Lewis grabbed eight boards and Palumbo chipped in with four assists and two steals.

Shasta (3-10) plays in the San Joaquin Delta Tournament in Stockton.
