KNIGHTS LOSE GVC OPENER TO SISKIYOUS IN FOUR SETS

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's volleyball team dropped a four-set match to College of the Siskiyous in their Golden Valley Conference opener Friday, losing 25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23.

The Knights totaled 40 kills in the match with five players contributed at least five kills apiece. Jennifer Troxclair led the way with 15 kills and 20 digs. Aliyah Rosado Cruz had eight kills and a team-best 21 digs to go with 16 assists, Danae Ford added six kills, 21 assists and 11 digs, Olivia Kaczmarek had six kills and Charly Simpson had five kills.

Brittney Patton recorded three aces and 11 digs and Asha Woods had 11 digs. Shasta had six players with double-digit dig totals and the 96 digs as a team were a season high.

Shasta plays twice this week on the road at Lassen on Wednesday and at Butte on Friday.
