Taylor Duncan assumes the role of Head Track and Field Coach for Shasta College. Coach Duncan has been an Assistant Track and Field Coach for Shasta College for four years. During that time Taylor worked with Pole Vault and Javelin producing six Golden Valley Conference Champions including Women's Pole Vault All-Americans Jade Parameter Barnes (2016), Cassie Young (2018) and Men's All-American and State Champion in the Javelin Brian Burg (2017). With Coach Duncan's assistance the Women's Team won back to back Golden Valley Conference Championships (2017,2018).

Coach Duncan competed as a Division I track student athlete at the University of California Santa Barbara (2010-2013) where he specialized in Pole Vault. Duncan earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and received his single subject teaching credential from CSU Chico. Coach Duncan previously coached at Central Valley High School and Pleasant Valley High School. Duncan currently teaches History and is the ASB Advisor at Central Valley High School. He is married to the former Jennifer Melton. They have one son Tatum Duncan.
