Assistant Coach Leah McNeill grew up in Redding and is a Shasta High School graduate.  Leah attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and was named MVP of the UCSC diving team her senior year.  She graduated with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and returned the following year to coach the Slug diving team. 

Leah belonged to Sacramento-area powerhouse diving club team Capital Divers for many years and is a former age group national champion in springboard and platform events. She leads the Redding Recreation summer diving program at the Redding Aquatic Center. 

Leah is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer with a diverse background in dance, yoga, lifeguarding, and group exercise instruction. She believes in using science to dive smarter, incorporating plyometric training, anatomy-based technique, visual acuity training, and physics concepts into her coaching. Prospective divers of all levels are welcome to come learn more about this thrilling sport!
