MERCED, Calif. – Shasta College's Bradley MacLauren and Jacob Thulin combined to win three events in the Merced vs. Shasta Sprint Meet on Thursday.
The Knight men competed in four total events, finishing in the top two in three and taking second in the fourth. The Shasta women's team competed in six events, winning the 200-yard freestyle relay and had seven other top three finishes.
Below are the results by event for Shasta College swimmers:
MEN
50 butterfly: MacLauren won in 25.01.
50 backstroke: Thulin won in 24.79, MacLauren was second (27.92).
50 breaststroke: Thulin was second (31.28).
100 Individual Medley: Thulin won in 58.10 and MacLauren was second in 59.30.
WOMEN
50 freestyle: Amalia Shelton was second (31.56), Jade Eagleson was third (31.76) and Cassidy Wolsey was fifth (34.54).
50 butterfly: Karlee Rowe was second (31.36) and Adessa Berglund was fourth (35.68).
50 backstroke: Eagleson was third (38.31), Shelton was fifth (43.11) and Wolsey was sixth (46.42).
50 breaststroke: Rowe was second (37.94), Berglund was third (40.57), Wolsey was fourth (45.64).
100 Individual Medley: Rowe was third (1:11.66), Berglund was fourth (1:16.47), Shelton was seventh (1:24.76) and Eagleson was eighth (1:25.34).
200 Freestyle Relay: Shasta won in 2:00.15.
