Coach Holcomb grew up in Lookout, California and graduated from Big Valley High School. Coach attended College of the Siskiyous where he played basketball for two years while earning an AA Degree. He coached at Simpson University from 1999-2003 while working on his Bachelor’s Degree and his Masters of Education degree.  In 2003 Coach Holcomb was hired as the Head Basketball Coach at Anderson High School where he coached for 5 years. From 2008-2013 Coach was the Assistant Coach at Shasta College and then the Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Simpson University from 2013-2017. Coach Holcomb has been married to his wife Jeanette for 41 years and they have two daughters.
