Shasta College scholar athlete and sophomore Eric Papas (Pioneer, Woodland) has signed a letter of intent to The University of New Mexico Highlands, (Div. ll) located in Las Vegas New Mexico.  The Cowboys compete in the very competitive RMAC Conference. 

Papas hit .237 1 HR and had 7 RBI's.  "Eric worked very hard in the classroom as well as the baseball field. Eric has improved every year at Shasta College.  Head Coach Shannon Hunt is one to the best hitting coaches in the country and Eric will benefit from his style of coaching," Head Coach Brad Rupert said.
