After beating Solano College in the first round of the playoffs, the Knights headed to American River College for a second round match-up.
American River defeated Shasta in straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-15, and 25-21.
American River had a strong offensive showing with a .274 hitting percentage, led by Morgan Castaneda with 17 kills and Amiah Cornejo with 11 kills. Sofia MacPherson facilitated the offense with 26 assists.
Defensively, American River was led by Cady Hatch with 13 digs and Mallory Kuehl and Kyla Powell each contributed two blocks.
On the other side, Shasta struggled to find its rhythm on offense with a .227 hitting percentage. Madelyn Frick led the team with six kills, while Emerie Brown added 7 kills.
Defensively, Whitney King put up a solid performance with 15 digs for Shasta, but it wasn't enough to stop American River's offense.
The Knights finish the season with an overall record of 8-2 in Golden Valley Conference play and an overall record of 27-9.
