KNIGHTS SWEEP SACRAMENTO CITY AT HOME

REDDING, Calf. – The Shasta College volleyball team swept Sacramento City College 25-13, 25-21, 25-17 on Saturday to win for the third time in the past five matches.

The Knights totaled 32 kills to the Panthers' 19 with freshman Jennifer Troxclair leading the way with 11 kills and nine digs. Aliyah Rosado Cruz, Olivia Kaczmarek and Charly Simpson each contributed six kills while Danae Ford dished 17 assists. Rosado Cruz added 13 assists and eight digs and Brittney Patton racked up nine digs to match Troxclair's team-high.

Shasta College wraps up non-conference play with a 7-10 overall record. At the midpoint of the season, the Knights rank in the state's top 10 with the sixth-best total for serve reception errors and their 913 digs rank ninth.

Troxclair leads the team with 131 kills followed by Kaczmarek's 85 kills. Ford has 271 assists, Rosado Cruz has a team-high 238 digs and Simpson's 29 total blocks leads the Knights.

Shasta College hosts College of the Siskiyous Friday at 6 p.m.
