REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's soccer team went on the road to shut out Butte College Friday 1-0 following a 6-1 home loss to Feather River earlier in the week.
Gabrielle Johnson scored an unassisted goal for the Knights in the victory for her eighth goal of the season. Bethany Sather got the cleansheet for Shasta.
Earlier in the week, Shasta lost to Feather River at home 6-1. Jenna Monahan assisted Olivia Smith for a goal just before half but that was all the offense the Knights could muster. Alexis Highfill also had a shot in the match.
Sather had four saves while Emily Porter had a pair of saves for the Knights.
Shasta College drops to 2-4-1 in Golden Valley Conference play and 5-7-1 overall and hosts Lassen College Tuesday, pending statewide PG&E power outages.
