KNIGHTS BEAT SISKIYOUS TO SNAP SIX-MATCH WINLESS STREAK

REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women's soccer team beat College of the Siskiyous 5-2 for its first win in the past six games.

All five goals from the Knights came from different players: Mary Smith, Jenna Monahan, Olivia Smith, Tiffany Hoodenpyle and Ashley Lanzi. Monahan and Lanzi each also had an assist and Olivia Smith had two assists.

Emily Porter and Bethany Sather each had two saves in goal for the Knights.

Earlier in the week, Shasta tied College of the Redwoods 1-1. Olivia Smith assisted the first half goal to Gabrielle Johnson and Redwoods scored in the 14th minute. It was the first tie for the Knights this season.

Shasta hosts Feather River Tuesday and plays at Butte on Friday.
