CUPERTINO, Calif. – Shasta College freshman diver Angelique Passadakis earned points in both events she competed in at the California Community College Athletic Association Swim & Dive State Championships last week at De Anza College in Cupertino.
Passadakis was the lone Knight to compete in the state championship despite helping her team to a Bay Valley Conference title the week before. She collected four placement points for a 13th place finish in 3-meter diving with a score of 123.75 points, and two place points for a 15th place finish in 1-meter diving (129.6 points).
Passadakis improved her seed score in the 3-meter competition from 112.70 to 123.75 points at the meet. Her 3-meter diving score the previous week at the BVC championships of 134.6 was her second best this season. She scored a season-high 134.93 at the Merced Last Chance Meet on April 6.
Her 1-meter diving score of 129.6 in the CCCAA State Championships was her third-best score this season, up from the BVC championship meet score of 121.15 and third behind to her 131.0 from the Shasta College dual meet against Delta on March 13. She posted a season-best 144.55 points at the 13th annual Mariner Invitational on March 10.
