LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Shasta College's men's soccer team fell to Lake Tahoe 5-0 Friday on the road.
The Knights were outshot 25-6 in the match and recorded three shots on goal, one each from Giovanni Antonio Garcia Cortez, Sam Elwood and Miguel Ortiz III.
Goalkeeping duties were split between Luis David Velazquez and Jose Roberto Garcia Padilla, both recording two saves.
Lake Tahoe spread out its scoring with five goals from five different players and all over the match, scoring in the 6th minute followed by the 42nd, 52nd, 74th and 85th.
Shasta College drops to 1-3 in GVC play and 2-5 overall. The Knights play twice at home this week, hosting Redwoods Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Siskiyous Friday at 2 p.m.
