Daniel Duarte (Enterprise HS) signed a letter of intent to continue his education and athletics at Benedictine University in Mesa, Arizona. The Redhawks are an NAIA school that compete in the Cal Pac Conference.
In the Shasta College Knight's 2019 season, Duarte hit .259 with 24 RBI's and was tied for the most home runs with 3. Daniel was selected as a 2nd Team All-Golden Valley Conference catcher and was a scholar athlete.
"Danny's personality and work ethic will be missed by the coaches at Shasta College", says Head Coach Brad Rupert. "Danny is a kid that I connected with as a coach and at a personal level as well." Rupert adds, "Danny had a personal tragedy in his life, but never complained or used it as an excuse. Danny did everything right at Shasta College and I am excited for the next stage of his journey."
